The Westmoreland Hockey Association "Little Eagles" Program is an in-house program designed for new and beginner level players who are looking to experience the sport of ice hockey. The Little Eagles program gives players a fun, safe and competitive playing atmosphere from ages 4 to 10 years old. Whether you are coming from the Little Pens Learn-to-Play program or you are a looking to have your child learn in a more structured environment, our program will give you the practice time necessary to advance your skills and enjoy the game of hockey! The Little Eagles operate as a feeder system for our WHA 8U Mite Program.
NEW FOR 2021. Little Eagles practices have moved to Tuesday evenings starting at 7:20 pm. This is a shared ice slot with the 8U Mite skaters. Westmoreland Hockey hopes that this change will allow In-House players to benefit from the coaching staff, developmental structure and station-based practices as implemented for our travel Mite program. Little Eagles players will participate at their own pace, as a group, and will not be expected to keep up with the Mite skaters.
To Register:
Full hockey equipment is required for this program. If your child has no skating experience, please enroll them in Kirk Nevin Arena’s Learn to Skate Program before registering for the Little Eagles Program. Information on that program is available on the WHA website and on the City of Greensburg web site: www.greensburgpa.org. This program replaces the former WHA Learn to Play Hockey program.
