WHA and Kirk S. Nevin Arena operate three (3) programs for beginner skaters. Each program advances the skaters' abilities from beginner to the WHA 8U Travel Mite Program. Depending on the skaters' ability, you may choose to skip one or several of these programs. 

1. Learn to Skate (Administered by Kirk S. Nevin Arena/ISI Figure Skating) Click on the link for more information. 

2. Little Pens Learn-to-Play Program. Kirk Nevin currently holds only one Little Pens session per season. Following participation in the Little Pens program, players are encouraged to join the In-House program. 

3. Little Eagles Hockey. The Little Eagles program begins instruction in October of each year. Practices occur weekly on Wednesday evenings. Enrollment opens in September and closes in late-February. The season runs through late-March.
